Laneige Water Bank Moisture Cream Review

Winter is coming and if you’ve been on the hunt for a new moisturizer to add to your winter skincare routine, I have found a new favorite from Laneige that you need to check out!

Laneige has been on my radar for some time, but I feel like I don’t hear about their moisturizers as much as their super popular lip sleeping masks in the skincare community. I recently finished up a mini size of the Water Bank Moisture Cream that I had received from a Sephora birthday gift set and OMG it has quickly become one of my favorite moisturizers! You know a skincare product is really great when you simultaneously feel a tinge of sadness and satisfaction for finishing up a product down to the very lost drop!

These days, my skin tends to be more on the oily side, so I try to avoid heavy moisturizers and have been opting for lighter moisturizers that can be easily layered with other skincare products like toners, essences, serums, etc. I love that the Water Bank Moisture Cream perfectly sinks into the skin to provide moisture and hydration. I think this would also work really well for anyone with dry skin that is looking for a hydrating moisturizer because it has a really nice light, whipped texture that’s pretty unique.

I also really love the scent! It reminds me of a luxe, clean spa scent that’s just very relaxing and calming. I like using the moisturizer both in the morning and the evening because it’s great on its own on days when I can’t be bothered to do a full skincare routine, but it also pairs well with other skincare products without weighing down your skin.

According to Laneige‘s website,

“Water Bank Moisture Cream is powered by antioxidants and highly concentrated Green Mineral Waterâ„¢. Extracts from Brussel sprouts and artichoke combine with the fortifying power of lima beans to help strengthen the defensive barrier and keep skin hydrated throughout the day.”

The full-size Laneige Water Bank Moisture Cream (1.6 fl.oz./50 mL) retails for $38.

If you check out Laneige’s website, they have details about their Global Sustainability Promise, which mentions their commitment to reducing their water footprint in their production and through sustainable packaging. They’ve also partnered with Water.org, a global nonprofit organization has helped millions of lives by providing access to safe water or sanitation. Laneige is donating $50,000 to Water.org, which is a pretty cool sustainability initiative that I hope they continue to expand upon and I would love to see more brands follow suit!

I’m so sad that I’ve used mine up, but I will definitely be purchasing the full-size soon! I’m also interested in trying out Laneige’s other products, especially with all the cute new holiday sets that they recently released!
